Muted Florals and the Coolest Bridal Jumpsuit: Elizabeth & David

A dreamy part-one wedding with just 12 guests!

There are a lot of things to love about today's real wedding - the elegant setting of The Irish Architectural Archive and The Shelbourne hotel, the incredible floral ceremony backdrop, and the fact that the couple, Elizabeth and David, created a really special day in spite of Covid-19 restrictions. And that's even before we arrive at the outfits! From Elizabeth's floral-embroidered bridal jumpsuit to the couple's daughter's princess dress and Converse combo, this was one seriously stylish wedding party! LUZDACOSTA captured their September 2020 wedding in some jaw-droppingly beautiful photographs, so let's take a closer look, shall we!?

Elizabeth and David tell us that they first met via a dating app. "We met through the magic of online dating," Elizabeth says. "Thanks Bumble!"

David tells us that he started planning their engagement when Elizabeth was on a trip overseas. "When she was in London for a few days, I took the opportunity to go ring shopping with our baby daughter," he says. "The morning after she got back was a lazy one, and the three of us were dozing in bed when I asked our daughter to give Mummy a box. I think it took her by surprise!" How sweet!

Elizabeth and David describe their big day as "incredibly intimate and special. Like many last year, we decided to go ahead with the legal ceremony and have a small celebration with our immediate families. As we still have our big wedding celebration next year in a country house, we decided to have our legal ceremony here in Dublin city. We chose the Irish Architectural Archive on Merrion Square for our ceremony, with just 12 guests last September. We then went on to The Shelbourne hotel for our reception meal, where we were surrounded by the history of the buildings overlooking St. Stephen's Green."

The couple had the wonderful Tracy Gallagher sing and play guitar at their ceremony. "It was so special," Elizabeth remembers.

The couple's daughter, Nenah, was their flower girl on the day - how cute is her little ensemble!?

It sounds like choosing venues for their stripped-back wedding day was a simple task for this pair! "The Irish Architectural Archive was really special to us, as David is an architect, it felt perfect," Elizabeth says. "And The Shelbourne hotel - you couldn’t get any more special than that! It’s so nice to know, as we live and work in Dublin, that we’ll always have these two special places that we can call in to on anniversaries."

How gorgeous is Elizabeth's bridal jumpsuit? She tells us, "As we wanted to keep this a separate event and feel to the wedding celebration we have planned in 2021, I decided to ask my friend, Aoife Kennedy, who’s a designer, to create an outfit for the occasion. It was so amazing to wear one of her designs."

With Covid-19 restrictions in place, the couple tell us that their top priority became, "having our parents and siblings present for it, and, of course, our daughter. We were lucky that restrictions at the time allowed for that."

Thanks so much to Elizabeth and David for sharing their gorgeous city wedding with us, and to LUZDACOSTA for providing the beautiful imagery! There are even more photographs to swoon over in the gallery below.
