BUCK SCRAPE 2017 BARLEY DARTS

Buck-rub: Stripped bark or abrasions on a tree made by a buck’s antlers.  Buck-rubs serve many purposes.  It polishes a buck’s antlers, strengthens his shoulder and neck muscles, and leaves behind his pheromones.  These pheromones stimulate female deer, called does, for breeding season.   They also also communicate the ranking status of the buck to his competitors.
