THURSDAY THANKS: AUGERS
We’ve been thankful to borrow a tractor-driven auger. In about a minute, it digs a hole that’s four feet deep. It’s also wide enough to fit a railroad tie. What an incredible time and back saver. Over the years, Keith has dug many such post-holes by hand. I’ve dug some small ones and it took me forever. It’s hard work. It’s even harder where there’s clay. We still back-fill the hole by hand, but we’re not complaining. We are grateful to be able to do it. By September, our pastures will be quadrupled.
