NACREOUS: Having iridescent colors.

Oh, joy!  My rug is now clean and vibrant.  It was another one of my thrift-store finds.  While I knew it had seen brighter days, I had no idea it had so many colors.  They were buried beneath decades of dirt.  So, Keith and I decided to risk power washing the rug.  It was rejuvenated beyond my imagination.

However, I don’t recommend power washing all rugs.  Many could never withstand such pressure.  Fibers would shred, stitching would break, and colors would fade.  But, it worked for ours.  Now instead of a barn-boot mat, it will grace the floor in our future home.
